Liches ain't shit but hoes and tricks
So we killed the Lich King on heroic, and I’m not really sure where to even begin with this post.
We’ll start with recruitment info: From here we’re looking onward and upward. We plan to push into Cataclysm and strive to maintain a high level of performance. Most importantly, we are looking to continue harboring an enjoyable atmosphere for our members while we do so. Recruitment is now open to all classes as we look to diversify and bolster our ranks for Cataclysm. If you feel like this is the type of atmosphere you’d be interested in as a long-term home, stop by our Recruitment section and drop off an application. We’re looking for people that are not just exceptional players, but exceptional players that can enjoy themselves while working through content and mesh well with the Fusion culture. ![]() Next, I want to congratulate everyone for all the hard work they’ve put in to get us here. This expansion as a whole has been an interesting one for Fusion. We’ve undergone some pretty massive changes and accomplished quite a bit. We were able to obtain a pre-nerf Yogg-0 kill, which was probably the single most rewarding kill that I’ve ever been involved in. Since then, we did have to bid farewell to both our long-time GM Bazz and to Kyth. I don’t think it’s any stretch of the imagination to say that they were instrumental in shaping Fusion throughout its long history and that it would not be what it is today without their contributions. The same can be said of our other raiders that have since moved on to other things. It is definitely a credit to Blizzard that they keep providing us with content that’s challenging; with that being said, it I’ve seen a lot of people in various guilds praise the encounter. I have to respectfully disagree and say that I felt it was somewhat underwhelming. I didn’t feel like the mechanics made it enjoyable, and in my opinion it lacked the sense of “epicness” that other lore-steeped bosses have brought to the table. I mean, did it really compare to Kel’thuzad, C’thun, Kil’jaeden, or even Illidan in that regard? But that is just one man’s humble opinion. At least this time our friends didn’t abandon us… At the end of the day the people we’re raiding with and the way we get to kills is much more important than the kills themselves anyway. Sure, we were hoping to have this boss dead sooner, but after dealing with the typical issues of random absences, computer explosions, account hacking, and afk lawn on fire we were able to kill it on our 3rd pull this week. I feel that’s something to be proud of and I couldn’t think of a better group of people to enjoy spending our raid time with. I want to once again say congratulations and great work to everyone here and extend my gratitude to Bazz, Kyth, and everyone else past and present that has contributed in making our guild what it is now. ![]() And oh ya—grats to Krez on his new old horse.
