I wasn't able to put in a parse with my application, as I couldn't find one. But I just came across one from a few weeks ago when I went to the Fusion GDKP. Thanks.

Edit: Okay, I guess I didn't make the cut. Can I get some feedback as to why my application was denied? I put it in about a week ago and haven't heard anything back. Good or bad, anything to let me know why. Thanks.

To be honest, once you said this:

"Experience With Specs: I personally like Survival more than Marksman. I know that at higher levels of gear, and with the right gear, Marksman does more dps than Survival does. But I have always been a Survival player, even back in TBC. I think it's just something that's going to stick with me, even into Cataclysm."

It didn't matter what the rest of your application said. We expect people to be pushing to be the best they can be. As soon as you made it clear that you were more interested in playing the spec you like more, rather than the spec that does more damage, I frankly stopped reading your application.

I can accept that. Like I said, I know that Marks can pull more dps than Survival with the right gear. I do play Marks from time to time, but it is not something I believe I can perform well in. Usually when I am Marks, I pull quite a bit lower dps than I do as Survival. Granted I don't have all Arm Pen gems, nor the gear for it. I've never really sought out to be a Marks Hunter. Like I said, I have been Survival for about 3 years now, and I love it. Even back when Survival did lower dps in BC, I did it because I liked the whole "feel" of it.

I am sad to hear that that was the reason for my application to be denied, but I am glad to at least get a reason. One thing I don't understand though, is that you don't tell every Mage that they have to be Fire, or every Druid they have to be Feral. Just because at higher level gear, it can out-dps another spec.

But again, thanks for the input. I wish your guild the best of luck, and will enjoy pugging with you guys.

We do actually. Although the druid one isn't really accurate since different specs change the role. However, for classes such as rogues / mages / warlocks, etc (pure dps classes), it is assumed that you will simply automatically play the highest dps spec available to you. Failure to do so results in a huge mark against you and in the past has been used as one of the main reasons we've kicked someone.

Honestly, I wouldn't consider myself even remotely close to being Fusion material on Zarwyn. If you can consistently pull 2k+ more than me in those GDKP's, then I think you're on the right track (and that isn't going to happen as SV, and probably requires 277 gear).

I get progressively worse on encounters the more movement there is (as Elemental off-spec on my main and on the Hunter), which is something I need to improve on the most. Based on that WoL, it looks like Festergut had the least amount of moving (if I recall I was the collapse point).

I only play him 2-3 times a month, and I see the game from a healers perspective. So I have a difficult time thinking like a DPS would in a scripted, rotation-based environment. I prefer the dynamics and reactive play style of a healer. My point is, I'm likely not going to spend time improving to a level Fusion requires, but you probably can if that's your main. So take it for what it's worth.

I don't mean to come off as a dick, or disrespectful in any way. I have a great deal of respect for all Fusion members; always have, always will.

Hopefully my application doesn't effect any future applications I may submit (in Cata and beyond). I would really love to become a part of this guild someday, even if it's a year or two down the road. As always, I will strive to do the best I can. And if it isn't good enough for your standards at that time, I will just keep working to get there. :)

I wish you all the best of luck in the rest of this expansion, and into Cataclsym.
