Redeemed

Name? Mason
Age? 19
Class/Race? DK, Draenei, Unholy DPS (Would reroll to be Orc) and spec is 17/0/54 open to suggestion
Location/TimeZone? +8GMT , Perth Australia, Raid times begin @ 10.30am (would be on at 9-10am).
Our current raid times are Sunday-Wednesday 6:30PST to 10:30PST, how often would you be able to make our raids? (If the answer is less than 90%, please don't bother filling out the rest of this application) 100% as I do not start work until 6.00pm my local time which is 4 hours after raid times conclude, so even if we put in an extra 3 hours I will be safe :) (also I dont work Sund, mon, tues, and so only Wednesday would be affected if we go over our raid schedule by 4 hours.
Do you have Ventrilo and a microphone that works? I certainly do, would not ever expect to raid without one. I also use Mumble and Teamspeak, and upgrade my headphone once every year or so due to nerd rage damage to it.... and walking off with it still attached -.-. Off topic however also have gamepath for endgame raiding latency.
Raiding experience? Pre-Bc upto AQ 40 I raided as a holy paladin on the server Dunemaul. I then quit wow in the middle of TBC as I didnt quite enjoy raiding as much. I have now, in WOTLK picked it back up! Rerolled DK to show that its not a class played by noobs. I have completed Naxx 10/25, OS10 3D, OS25 2D, EoE 10/25, Ulduar 10/25 (algalon attempts to 10% and wipe -.-), TOC10+25 5/5, TOGC 10 (insanity) and TOGC 25 (Anub to 20% but wipe there after! -.-). Despite my abscence during TBC I Know I am a competent raider with a fast reaction time and great raid awareness.
Describe your raiding experience in progression mode. What content have you raided as progression, which first kills were you there for? For my current guild I joined mid-way through TOGC and assisted in downing Twin Valkyr I effectively replaced their previous resident DK named Stoob. I have also been present in our ANub'Arak Attempts with majority of our attempts reaching between 6-20%. During Ulduar I assisted my guild as a trial to defeat Thorim/Freya/Mimi/Hodir HM's. I also understand the extra mile progression guilds put in, as without that dedication into class mechanics/research/time/itemization/rep grinding and such you are just another guild winging encounters. You must have the brains to go into progression raiding fully prepared, making every little bit count.
What is a progression raid in your understanding? I think I just answered that, if you require further clarification I can provide :)
Previous guilds? <Arashi> - Alliance Dreadmaul #1, <Unrivaled Dominion> - Horde Dreadmaul #4 (#2 before I left).
Reasons for leaving previous guilds? <Arashi> is a relaxed guild with great players, and so we are able to down content however not in a progressive like environment. I am at the stage where I am wanting to spend more energy into the game in an efficient manner with players of my own calibre or greater. I am over dead weight and feel I can give more to a guild whom has the same mentality as myself.
Post your armory profile link and a link to raiding spec if different from that in armory.
I currently am Dual Spec'd DPS (unholy) 17/0/54 and Blood Tank (I OT on occasion or MT Anub'Arak should numbers be an issue). http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dreadmaul&n=Redeemed
Discuss your gem choices, why are you gemming the way you do?
I work with two things, 1st is Zaracks DK optimizer which enables me to use pre-defined and custom stat-weights to make a BiS list or how to best utilize set builds for example in determining the value of specific stats the 'Statweights' for an Unholy DK with 4p T9 is as follows.
AP: 1.00
Strg: 3.05
Haste: 2.19
Crit: 2.19
Agility: 1.05
ArP: 1.3
So using this key you can get the idea that 1 point of strength is 3 times more valuable than 1 point of AP, and use that to gauge optimum stat 'weighting'. This dictates how I gem (moving with Hitcap/Strg predominantly) and using socket bonuses when they are worth it as always gemming for them is often a bad idea.
Describe your role in a 25 man instance, possibly one you played during fights listed under raiding experience. Be detailed, let us know how you play your class and why. DKs are very much so proc based, keeping your BS consistent to get your Desolation buff, utilizing trinket procs to get your gargoyle seriously pumped, unfortunately RNG comes into the whole trinket proccing thing but unholy has a much greater consistency than Frost DW! So as long as you watch out for Bloodlust and pop your haste pots @ the same time your trinkets proc. not only yourself but your gargoyle will be annihilating everything. DKs(unholy) are the forefront of aoe/single target dps at the moment and that is proven in fights like Anub'Arak, able to spread diseases on the appropriate targets and it does not nerf single target dps, this allows for easier movement and switching of targets and a very fluid playstyle. The reason I enjoy DKs is the specialization you can have with 3 very different trees. Versatility and raid awareness are the two most important aspects... get stats later as without those two characteristics your not going to go far.

Describe the specs of your computer. We want to know everything, your processor speed, graphics card, RAM, don't hold back. 2x 9800GTs running in SLi with a intel 3.0ghz duo core processor on a EVGA motherboard. Internet connection is a 20mbps connection ADSL2+.
Your average FPS (Frames per Second) during boss enconuters? What is the worst fight for you, and how low does your FPS drop during that fight? My ping is ~240 and my FPS is a consistent 60fps in 25 man raids. Am also about to build a new computer. Onyxia however is the bane of my computer until I figured disabling Hit Indicators. My comp didnt like all the numbers haha! On onxyia whelps my fps gets to about 12. I used to DC the second I did a Blood Boil however that was the indicators fault I believe.
Make up a question, and answer it. Why did I choose to apply to a far more progressed guild? As I stated earlier, I was absent for a lot of TBC and so I miss progressive raiding back in the Vanilla wow days! I have the time, the attitude and the player quality to be back in the end-game progression scene and it seems this is the guild that has a shared mentality of simply not wasting time. Being efficient, being great high quality players, and pwning each aspect of the game from PVP to PVE.
Why are you applying to Fusion, why should we be interested in recruiting you?
I offer 100% raid attendence, a researched player into his class mechanics, a researched player into upcoming encounters
I have GM'd I have been a Raid Leader I have been a simple dps. I feel because of this it has sparked additional awareness in raids and extended interest in theorycrafting.
Anything else you'd like us to know?
ASL? 19/m/Perth lol, my name is Mason as I mentioned, I am a hair stylist working predominantly nights during the week, I party hard, listen to hardcore and metal (original hardcore not "emo" hardcore). Ive got ink, piercings and am probably the worst dude to bring home to meet your parents. Ive constantly got a 6 pack next to my computer and I consider myself the ultimate BURGER judge around my country. I quite literally travel state to have a burger and a sweet gig.
Currently single, although fancy another hair stylist, match made is pandemonium. I want to have a laugh, I want to have a good time and dont be put off by my homo-erotic jokes. I simply <3 cock. (partially due to being the only straight hair stylist in a 5000000 KM radius of my city).
