Well it was covered ... Just very poorly: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=9233136875&pageNo=1&sid=2000#18

"Beta implies that the game is in a testing process and currently incomplete. Your assistance in testing and providing feedback is much appreciated, however, we ask that you remain patient while we continue to push out new content, abilities, and balancing adjustments each week.

No class is going to be left behind when all is said and done. The point of working through a Beta process is to ensure the product is fully polished by the time it is slated for release. We ask that you consider this before expressing frustration over a lack of battle-ready talents and abilities for your class in its current state. We will continue to push out changes for the Rogue class -- as with every other class -- so you will all have plenty of time to test out the updates."

The last sentence is pretty lame when they say they will continue pushing rogue changes as with other classes, which pure BS since there have been no changes to continue on.

Its beta though, they are working on it, it will get done. Rogues are really a complete class and needed the least work most likely. Shadowpriest are completely in the same boat.

That depends on how you look at it. Right now the rogue trees are pretty bassaackwards, regarding the new talents, where they took the raid synergy talent and put in the PvP tree, they took the PvP talents and put them in the Raid tree, and they tried to shove daggers and Mutilate down your throat with a "Spec this and use daggers or else", but really hosed up the talents (again another 51 point talent in the raid tree that is at best net neutral for DPS - they did the same thing with the original version of Surprise Attacks ... aka you take the talent and you end up in basically the same place).

Sure rogues are fine now in TBC, but the changes in Beta look like the played "Pin the talent on the talent tree" blindfolded after a night at the bars.

Looks like they're finally hitting you guys:

Things of note:

You no longer need misc. tools to perform abilities and the poison skill is being removed, apparently you just buy them from the vendors now.

Wound Poison is a flat 50% healing reduction on the first application.

CloS - Cooldown increased to 2 minutes

New level 75 skill incoming - stay tuned

Mutilate can be used in front of the target now

Mace Spec now gives armor penetration

Fist/Dagger Spec combined

Shadow Dance is going to be polished soon.

I admit it, this is the only thing that I cared about nerfing in regard to rogues. I'm satisfied now.

Lowered by 30 seconds to 1:30 with talents in the PvP tree... sorry.

I'm just waiting for everyone to bitch about them lowering the cooldowns on our 4min+ abilities.

Mutilate is looking really strong right now with the new 30 second duration on Hunger for blood for a hefty 15% more damage, in addition to 3% crit on poisoned targets and an extra 2% on murder.

New combat is gonna be lol for non-arena pvp, passive retaliation

shadowstep can't be used while rooted THANK GOD

20s premed + muti from any direction = dumb.

And honestly, 90s blinds was the biggest buff to your CDs (for pvp)

Disarming traps from 20m is dumb too. Blizzard took off the smart hats for rogues, and put on the "lol OP" hats.
