Tried to post this yesterday but something went fubar. Eyonix double-talks his way around why hemo is being nerfed and everyone freaks out on him. No wonder his appearances on the rogue forums are few and far between.
In all fairness, there are always some genuine tards on the wow public forums and the rogue one is no exception, however he refuses to address the valid points of why this is being changed so quickly. Not to mention it's pretty clear he didn't really think about his initial post and the apparent hypocritical stance being taken to quickly change the rogue talent when other classes are in the same boat with only speccing down to a point in certain trees yet this isn't deemed an issue for them.
To clarify we don't simply make changes to an ability because it becomes popular. The changes done to hemorrhage (lowering its damage) is being done because we never intended for hemo rogues to do more damage, rather, our goal was to make the subtlety tree a viable alternative to combat and assassination. What resulted however, was not an increased number of subtlety rogues, but an increased number of rogues going just far enough down the subtlety tree to get hemorrhage.
We intend to tweak subtlety some more in upcoming patches, but ultimately won’t be able to flesh it out until Wrath of the Lich King.

I hear he's active on the shaman forums, and he pops into the rogue forums from time to time but it's pretty obvious he doesn't have a good understanding of the rogue class. You only need to see his three or four posts in that thread (hit the lock count within hours of him posting in it, so it's rolled back a few pages now) to see how little understanding he actually has about us.

shadowstep changes own, suck it ar/prep
I pretty much called this the other day in vent. Don't recall who I was talking to, but with all the bitching about ar/prep I said the only way to fix that was take ar off the prep reset.
Ironically, I think these changes are directed at mace rogues more than anything else. In order to spec deep combat maces you are going to lose the burst dps that a deep subtlety build gives you, that was being comprised of the current hemo + ar/prep. Now they'll either spec out of maces and go deep sub or they'll spec down to maces and lose out on some burst.
On a personal level, eh, no biggie, I'm not attached to any particular pvp spec, however I am a bit irked that they are making fairly drastic changes to rogues because of an imbalance when other classes that are just as imbalanced against certain classes (ms war, resto druid, sl/sl lock) have minor changes made to their talents, if any at all.
While every class gets buffs and nerfs, I'm trying to remember any recent classes that got buffs to make them more competitive in a certain area (arenas) and before the next patch hit had those buffs rescinded and additional nerfs added on top. NOTE-I'm not saying ar/prep wasn't justified, but buffing hemo then nerfing it and nerfing ar/prep all at once is a "wtf" moment for me.

Oh, yeah, shadowstep sucks really, it's a bad blink affected by lag that they are trying to patch and make it viable by adding a speed increaser for 3 secs + a combo point. I think it's still pretty bad for a 41 pt talent, but rogues aren't the only class that gets shafted on a deep talent in a tree or two.

I got a great idea for making subtley viable.
Make Cloak of shadows the 41 pt talent and get rid of shadowstep just like it used to be!

it's actually pretty amazing mobility if used right, and it's bugged atm so you can shadowstep thousands of yards.

I've specced it in the past, for a 41 pt talent it's not that good, more of a gimmic really, after the "buffs" it MIGHT be ok. As it is now, it's a blink every 30 secs to a target of your choice...it's more control than anything else, imo, the additional damage and combo points aside. I used it more for popping over and blinding or kicking one target then getting back on my primary. Some like it, I didn't find it particularly useful except in certain situations (non-moving targets primarily). As an opener in arenas it lacks a lot when people are riding around trying to spot stealthers, which they do in 2's a lot.

Its totaly freaking hacks in WSG man. Instant Flag returns ftw? Its stupid hard to lose a WSG with a shadowstep rogue. 9 man turtle, rogue solos the flag because he doesnt even have to run it back.
ambush, vanish shadowstep ambush, prep, vanish ambush shadowstep evis ^_^
C'mon man, you forgot premeditation!
Premeditation ambush, vanish shadowstep ambush, eviscerate or expose armor, prep, vanish, premeditation shadowstep ambush, eviscerate!
If you can pull that nasty combo off, game over.
