So, just playing around with some numbers based on what the expectations are once 2.3 goes live (yes yes, WAY to early, but I'm bored at work waiting on something to blow up that I need to fix).
Looking at the changes to mace spec, coupled with the expertise changes, if things remain unchanged on PTR I'm seriously considering trying the following spec:

I'm not a fan of dual weapon builds, but equipping Kael mace mh with a sword oh MIGHT be more dps than a current traditional sword spec build with two swords. Here's why:
1) oh sword specs proc mh hits. KT mace proc will be inflated which will increase the energy production over a traditional sword build.
2) mace spec changes increase crit damage (jury is out on if this is base crit damage like RED or not) so sinister strikes will hit harder along with normal melee hits
3) Coupling the additional damage the KT mace will do (100dps after buff, just like BoI) and the additional energy regen should give a significant increase to the damage from the mh over swords
The key is going to be whether #3 can produce more damage than the MH sword spec procs that come from white melee hits. If I can manage to get on PTR I'm going to give this a shot and see what kind of numbers I generate. If I can't tell conclusively from that test, then I'll be asking the officers for "special dispensation" to spec this way during a Hyjal or BT run after 2.3 goes live. At the very least I should still be able to hang with TLR on the meters like I do now, so speccing this way won't be a detriment to the guild.
Having the KT mace is critical to making this work, so it's a pretty niche build.
